Where marks get lost
- Naming a control variable without saying how it was kept constant.
- Confusing accuracy with precision and reliability in evaluation answers.
- Drawing graphs without labelled axes and units, or joining points that need a line of best fit.
Question styles to drill
- Rewriting a flawed method: identify the variable not controlled, then state the fix and why it matters.
- Percentage change and rate calculations shown to the correct number of significant figures.
- Evaluations that name one specific improvement and the error it removes.
